AI paraplanning: SoAs and RoAs drafted from the record, approved by the adviser.
fp one builds Statements and Records of Advice from the client record. The paraplanning assistant drafts the reasoning, code prints the figures from the modelling, and an adviser reviews and approves the document.
What AI paraplanning means in fp one.
Much of the work in a Statement of Advice is assembly: restating the client's situation, carrying figures across from the modelling and explaining why each recommendation suits the client. In fp one that assembly starts from the client record, not from a blank template.
Each recommendation is modelled first, on its own card, and the adviser decides what goes into the advice. The paraplanning assistant then drafts the reasoning for each one from what the file already holds: the client's goals and circumstances, their approved meeting notes and the modelled outcome. Names and identifiers are masked before drafting.
The assistant writes the words. The numbers come from fp one's projection engine and are printed by code, so the figures in the document match the modelling on the file.
How an SoA comes together, on one client record.
Modelled first
Each recommendation is modelled before it is written up, with the impact of advice on tax, interest and cover costs beside it. Alternative strategies can be compared side by side.
Reasoning drafted
The assistant drafts the reasons for each recommendation. Where a required section comes back empty, approved wording from your advice-text library fills it, ready for your review.
Checked in code
Drafts are checked in code before they reach you: figures against the modelling, and recommendations against the scope of advice. A draft that fails a check is held back or flagged.
Built from the record
SoA or RoA is chosen by clear, stated rules. Business SoAs and Records of Advice are built the same way, with a visual executive summary and the education guides and PDSs the advice needs.
What stays with the adviser.
The advice is the adviser's. You choose the strategy, edit any drafted text and approve each recommendation, and approving an SoA or RoA is reserved for an adviser login. Approval freezes a version, makes it available as a PDF and publishes it to the client's portal as an interactive, tabbed document. Each advice document tells the client that AI assisted with the drafting.
Who it suits.
Advisers who prepare their own advice documents, and practices working with paraplanners, in-house or outsourced, who want the first draft to start from the record rather than from re-keyed notes. It is designed to shorten the time between the strategy meeting and a document ready for the adviser's review.
Questions advisers ask.
Does the AI decide the advice?
No. The adviser models and chooses each recommendation. The assistant drafts the reasoning, and an adviser reviews, edits and approves the document.
Where do the figures in the SoA come from?
From fp one's projection engine. The assistant refers to a figure and code prints its value from the modelling, so the document and the modelling agree.
Do clients know AI was used?
Yes. Each SoA and RoA includes a disclosure that AI helped with the drafting and that the adviser reviewed and approved the document.
Can a document change after approval?
Yes. Reopen it, edit it and re-issue it. The earlier version stays on the file with a compliance record, and PDFs are ready for your e-signing tool.
